Mares has developed their new camera attachment kit (patent pending) to help stowing away camera extension poles whilst diving. This kit can be mounted on all Mares BCDs that have the grommets to install a knife. Furthermore, new BC models such as their Quantum BCD will sport more than one set of grommets to attach the camera kit. The kit comprises a plate and a counterplate, two sets of clips (22 and 25mm diameter, which fit most poles available today), all the necessary self-locking nuts and bolts, and a one-page installation guide.

Snap the pole onto the clips when you don't need it, pull it away when you want to start recording: the system works so well that you can even use it to hold the pole while it is fully extended with the camera turned towards you, for the ultimate selfie.
